Chiyo Spaulding began her martial arts training in 1998.
She received her Shodan (first degree black belt) in 2004, her Nidan (second degree) in 2008, and her Sandan(third) in 2014.
Chiyo sempai IS:
-A past AAU National Champion and was the instructor of UCSD Karate Club until February 2017.
-A certified instructor of Okinawa Ryuei-ryu Karate Kobudo Organization.
-A referee for AAU National tournaments and Ozawa Cup International Tournaments.
+ Children from her kids' program compete nationally and placed often.
